The Bert Babb Memorial CMN Golf Classic started in 1995 as a fundraising event to support the Children's Miracle Network (CMN) program at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center. Held at Shadow Hills Country Club, this tournament brings together golf enthusiasts and community members alike for a day filled with a shared spirit of giving back. Since its inception, this event has helped raise more than $1.9 million in support of local children and families!
The event's format, a scramble tournament with a double shotgun start, ensures that players of all skill levels can participate and contribute to the cause. Between the morning and afternoon rounds, participants gather for a delicious barbeque lunch and have a chance to meet some of the amazing caregivers and families supported by this event. 100% net proceeds benefit the PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Foundation Children’s Miracle Network fund.
The Bert Babb Memorial CMN Golf Classic is not just a golf tournament; it is a celebration of compassion, generosity and the power of community coming together for a common purpose. With fabulous tee prizes, friendly competition and a whole lot of fun, this event continues to honor the spirit of its founder, Bert Babb, by providing a sense of hope and support for those in need!
About the Children's Miracle Network program at PeaceHealth:
For over 40 years, Children’s Miracle Network has supported pediatric care in communities across the United States and Canada. As a nonprofit fundraising organization, Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) donations stay local to each of the 170 member hospitals in the network. PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend has been a proud CMN hospital since 1987, working on behalf of local children and families in our community to ensure every child has access to high quality and compassionate healthcare, close to home.
As a fundraising program of the Sacred Heart Foundation, the CMN team focuses on supporting the needs of hospital departments and programs that serve infants and children at RiverBend. Through national corporate partnerships, fundraising programs, local annual events and the generosity of annual individual donors, the Children's Miracle Network program has raised over $30 million in support of local children and families. Every dollar of every donation made stays right here, at home, where our own children live and play.
These funds support the departments that serve infants and children including our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Pediatric Inpatient Unit and pediatric specialties like surgery and Child Life. Our mission is to help provide the essential medical equipment and tools needed to treat our youngest patients and to encourage community involvement in supporting excellence in medical care for all children, regardless of their injury, illness or ability to pay. Locally, the Children's Miracle Network program assists more than 4,000 infants and children annually from the five counties (Lane, Linn, Benton, Coos and Douglas) served by PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center.
When you donate to the Children's Miracle Network program, 100% of your gift is dedicated to ensuring quality health care for the infants and children in our community.
